But it released a poison
A deadly, corrosive gas
  We call it oxygen
Into the air

They couldn't help themselves
The new energy was so cheap
So easy to produce
So easy to reproduce
Everywhere it was used
Slowly but surely
The atmosphere was eaten away
The poison built up
Smothering
Until
It killed
Everything
But the death factories
