The difference is that there was never a country named Ukraine, it was created out of a subdivision of Russia and #Soviet Union. A subdivision labeled Ukraine which was more than double in size of what ethnic Ukrainians occupied.

Wasn't part of California #Russian also (Sonoma Co. Fort "RUSS" ? That was before Mexico was founded. And #Mexico lost #California in a war.

St. Augustine is the oldest city in N.America.

Strange how the #UK #Conservative party is not too keen on letting us know more about their regular drinks sessions at the #Russian embassy after multiple poisonings. Just look at "Conservative Friends of #Russia" or later on as it was known "British Russia Forum". Before I forget allegedly Nigel #farage along with #Johnsons wife were regular visitors. I cannot imagine why. The UK has been so expertly played by the Russians and the likes of the Heritage foundation.

Nobody's above being wrong, and if the ceasefire doesn't lead to the collapse of the #Russian #WarMachine #economy, then so be it - which is probably prevented by proper planning anyway.

I'm at least happy that #Ukrainians can get some respite and try to enjoy some days when the bombs aren't flying. But there are those who will never let their guard down.
