A maintenance question for #BikeTooter people:

I’m repairing a puncture and it looks like the cause is the rim tape letting the spoke poke into the inner tube. Do I need proper rim tape to repair this with? Or can I use something like electrical tape or some kind of padding? Any suggestions welcome.

I have a new inner tube and don’t want to wreck that but being able to use the bike to get to the bike shop to buy new supplies would be very useful!

I wanted to do a really lazy Sunday. But the weather was just too nice.
My wife convinced me to do a less strenuous loop. So I tried to stay under 140bpm and have a nice ride. Unfortunately along a road but with very few elevation.

Today I also had a cereal bar with me and some more to drink (not just plain water).

I had hoped to not purchase anything until after Orange Stalin was removed. I knew the situation with my old Garmin cycling computer was not ideal. I never liked it. Yesterday proved though that the situation is untenable. I got away with it yesterday for a variety of reasons, one being I stayed with a group for 105km. I won't always be able to do that though.

So the question is do I buy a phone or a #cycling computer or maybe a phone holder.

My new phone is gigantic. It doesnt fit my holder
