Happy birthday, Harold Lloyd!

My dear dad made sure I was brought up in the Faith: plenty of Harold Lloyd, Buster Keaton, Laurel & Hardy, Tom & Jerry, and Bugs Bunny. He's been n his 80s now, and we still rewatch these together, and roar with laughter every time.

The older I've gotten the less tolerance for Tarantino as a filmmaker I have. He's a great stylist and I won't diminish his talent, but there's a certain juvenile quality to his writing that I think has only gotten worse with age with his revisionist history films which I have largely not loved.

I will still revisit Jackie Brown, his only adaptation of somebody else's writing, and I have a soft spot in my heart for Death Proof as a fan of 70s car films, but meh overall.

Just been watching a classic movie, Young Einstein. Still as crazy and creative as it was when it was released in 1988. Excellent soundtrack too.

Remarkable that Yahoo Serious wrote, directed, produced and starred in it, an incredible achievement.

Das wohl langweiligste Spider-Man reboot das es 2012 jemals gegeben hat. Ich bin bisher immer dabei eingeschlafen und habe es nie geschafft den Film ganz zu sehen. Andrew Garfield und Emma Stone gaben auch nicht ihr bestes was egal ist zumal den Film eh niemand wollte. Alle wollten Spider-Man 4 mit Tobey Maguire der wohl zu teuer geworden wäre.

Der erste Teil des Reboot von 2002 mit Tobey Maguire und Kirsten Dunst, der von vielen Fans als „der“ Spider-Man schlechthin gesehen wird. Keiner hat das Feeling der Comicbookvorlage besser auf die große Leinwand gebracht als dieser.
